Industry players were called for a bi-annual briefing by Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri,Koperasi dan Kepengguan(KPDNKK) ie Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism on the latest  campaigns undertaken by the Ministry to combat imitation and counterfeit products and to discuss new initiatives that could pave the way forward. Amongst the areas discussed were the May TVC campaign on awareness creation on property rights, basket of brands for collective action, raids and seizure of counterfeit products, report on the number of raids and seizure value and  treatment and application of new regulations. The session was well attended with numerous other Government bodies, including the Police, Customs, Myipo, Sirim, Miti among others.
