The Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism (KPDNKK) held a meeting at its headquarters in Putrajaya on the 10th of August ,2015 to briefed stakeholders with regards to its enforcement on counterfeit,fake and imitation items that infringe trademark, trade-name, patents,copyright among others. The meeting was attended by various trade associations, NGOs and related Government Agencies such as the Police and Customs. It was reported that 1,088 raid and seizure cases were carried for the first six (6) months of 2015 with value of goods worth Rm13.3 million, confiscated. Regarding the automotive industry, the sale of imitation lubricant remains  an issue to be pursued actively with cooperation from KPDNKK.
